Hillary Bennett

Hillary is the reactor supervisor and a senior reactor operator at the NSC and oversees all aspects of reactor operations including operations, maintenance, and regulatory compliance. Beyond the physical operation of the reactor, she oversees system upgrades, experimental review, analysis, and approvals, as well as safety and emergency training. Hillary started as a reactor operator trainee in 2014 eventually becoming a licensed reactor operator and then a senior reactor operator. She received her Associate of Arts from Spokane Community College and is now working towards a bachelor’s in mathematics at WSU. She enjoys the unique opportunities the NSC has provided and is dedicated to continually growing and improving the facility.
