How much does it cost?

Answer: Free.  All materials, instruction, and training are provided by the Center.

 

Is there a minimum GPA requirement for acceptance?

Answer: No, while we do take these factors into consideration there is no minimum GPA requirement.

 

Is there an age requirement?

Answer: No, though you must remain in student status at WSU for the duration of the program and post license commitment period.

 

Is there a requirement for academic standing (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, other)?

Answer: No, however, you must remain a WSU student through the required one year post license period.

 

How many applications do you receive annually?

Answer: While this varies, we receive an average of 20 applicants per year.

 

How many applicants do you accept?

Answer: We accept all candidates we feel would be a good fit for the program.

 

Is there a major requirement (Engineering, Physics, Chemistry)?

Answer: No.

 

Are the hands-on work and class times fixed, or can they meet around a schedule?

Answer: The class times are Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:30 – 5:00 PM.  The hands-on work is not fixed, and we can adapt to your schedule.  Only available hands-on times are from Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

 

When would I know whether or not I was accepted?

Answer: Applicants will be notified of program acceptance in early August.

 

Are there any class prerequisites?

Answer: No.

 

Are there any classes that need to be taken simultaneously?

Answer: No.

 

When does the 1-year post-licensing work begin?

Answer: Directly following licensure; or the following semester if you are not in Pullman during the summer break.
